About the Krew

Meet the people who have made KOLT’s Equine Konnections possible!

Brenda Campbell is the Founder and President of Kolt's Equine Konnections. With a lifelong passion for horses, Brenda began her journey at the age of four and bought and trained her first quarter horse at fourteen. She gained extensive experience working as a Ranch Manager for Jane Henderson, where she managed multiple stallions and AQHA foundation mares, and participated in various equine disciplines including halter, western pleasure, cutting, reining, and roping.

After taking a break to raise her three sons, Brenda returned to her equine roots in 2004, recognizing the profound impact horses had on her well-being after tragically losing her son, Kolt. In 2013, she and her husband Joe found their piece of paradise, which they now share with others through Kolt's Equine Konnections.

Joe Campbell is the Chairman of Kolt's Equine Konnections. After retiring from Walmart and Sam’s Club following a successful 28-year career, Joe embraced a new chapter in life. Married to a Texas girl with a passion for horses, Joe naturally became a rancher. Together, they have transformed their 55-acre property into a haven for their animals. They fenced the land and built a barn, which has since been expanded to accommodate hay under the roof. Currently, their ranch is home to 9 horses, 2 donkeys, 3 cows, and 1 baby bull.

Joe and his wife enjoy sharing their love for horses, the creek, and the beautiful trails that run through their property. Their dedication to their animals and the land is evident in the care and effort they put into maintaining their place and allowing others to experience in the joy it can bring through Kolt’s Equine Konnections.

Shannon Ginn is the Vice President of Kolt's Equine Konnections. Shannon is a dedicated horse trainer and a Jeeper. She is a devoted wife and a loving mother of two. Her dedication to horses and educating others is clear in her conviction that everyone should learn horse care before riding, ensuring that safety and proper treatment are always prioritized.

Shannon began training horses at the age of 12 and has since expanded her expertise to owning an American Paint Horse breeding program. When Shannon is not working at her job of over 30 years, she can be found in the arena or on the road to a rodeo for her 16-year-old daughter, who is a calf roper and competes nearly every weekend. Shannon and her family actively train horses for both competition and pleasure riding, embodying their deep love and commitment to the equestrian lifestyle.

Brittney Shanahan, the dedicated secretary at Kolt's Equine Konnections, has always had an intense love and passion for animals. She pursued her dream by earning a pre-vet and business degree from the University of Arkansas. After spending six years working in a veterinary clinic, Brittney decided to try her hand in the business world while still putting her veterinary skills to use at Kolt's.

At Kolt's Equine Konnections, Brittney can often be found nurturing, loving, and caring for all the horses.
